One of the first things we noticed adding an Instagram account that there were no models or photographers showcasing the knowledge of professional model photography seen in the days of film. Like none. No models or photographers who knew the purpose of a model image.
We see models and photographers just shooting and posing ineffectively for they tend to completely copy a model or photographer shooting ineffectively. Everyone appears to think a profile as a photographer makes you legit and then fake or inaccurate reviews by another model or photographer are always the truth versus the bullshit most are. Several are men pretending to be models for a decade on Facebook and a prostitute pretending to be 3 different models with 84 lies on a post the criminals of Instagram and Facebook allow.
I know of noone o Instagram or Model Mayhem current day who knows even the basics of professional glamour modeling to create a professional model port as a model would need. I see gorgeous models shooting with start up after startup or misguided models thinking if they move to Miami, LA or New York that anything will improve but expenditures.
Everyone in current day appear to take shortcuts and lie their asses off saying they are PUBLISHED. Those are the models and photographers who are at the bottom of their trade. Professionals in any field don't lie their asses off like the bullshit artists on Instagram. For decades I see models from New England bragging about togs in New York and then we see a video of the shoot and images and we could shoot better before first grade. Time is passing you by and if you move unprepared thinking your special you would already be special in New England. Noone knows Glamour modeling to creating a supermodel than ourselves. Superior IQ to common sense and always since I was one learning and educating myself. Don't let a new boyfriend or friends ruin your chance for success. Move and I'll call it right now you won't find what you are looking for.
There is one serious joker pretending to be the supermodel in New York and they have a first day starter portfolio. I was shocked early August to see their portfolio of horrible posing, horrible make up and several looks of nervousness that really surprised us. the great thing about this trade that everything is an immediate effective or ineffective when someone like ourselves at the top of glamour modeling see all good or bad in an image in 1/100th of a second.
